Our Leadership

•     Deana Brower, Co-Chair

Teaching Social Studies for 12 years gave Deana a strong background in the issues surrounding the modern classroom and the importance of supporting our public schools. She has continued to be active in Spokane Public Schools with volunteer positions on the Advisory Committee for Human Growth, Development and Safety, as well as PTG President at Jefferson Elementary School since 2008. She served in a leadership role on a sub-committee during the successful 2009 levy and bond campaign. Deana's two children attend Jefferson Elementary, where you will find her volunteering many hours in the school's classrooms. Deana is married to Jayson Brower, a radiologist in Spokane.

•     Stacie Clary, Co-Chair
Stacie Clary has two 3 children attending Spokane Public Schools, and has been an active volunteer in their schools for over a decade. You can often find Stacie on cable channel 17, as a volunteer spokesperson for Spokane Public Schools, or on KSPS as a co-host during pledge drives. She has been active with the Citizens for Spokane Schools since 2003, providing organization and leadership to several committees. Stacie is co-owner of Inpho-On-Hold, a marketing and information production company. Her husband, Ray Clary is an attorney in Spokane, and an active booster in many public school events as well. 

•     Mike Livingston, Treasurer

Mike has two sons attending Spokane Public Schools, one at Lewis and Clark High School, and another at Ferris High School. He is a commercial real estate broker with Kiemle & Hagood in Spokane, specializing in investment sales, office sales and leasing. Mike is also the current president of the of the Washington State Commercial Associal of Realtors. He and his wife, Sue have been active with the Citizens for Spokane Schools organization since 2006, and were both key to the success of the 2009 bond and levy passage.

•     Scott Jones, Chair Advisory

After devoting himself to almost 30 years of activity with the Citizens for Spokane Schools, Scott has taken on the role of trusted advisor to the group. A graduate of Lewis and Clark and WSU, Scott is the CEO of Fidelity Associates and Fidelity Associates Financial Services- a 103 year old family owned insurance agency. Scott's three sons are all graduates of Spokane Public Schools. He is very involved with a variety of other community organizations and projects, including Rotary, Hoopfest, and serving on the boards of Greater Spokane, Wheatland Bank, and Inland Northwest Blood Center.

•     Barb Chamberlain, Chair Advisory

Barb is Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Washington State University Spokane. Barb has a daughter who graduated from Lewis & Clark and another one still there; they attended Roosevelt, Odyssey, and Sacajawea. She has volunteered with CFSS since the 2003 levy/bond campaign because she believes strong schools are essential to our children's future and Spokane's. She also serves on the boards of Friends of the Falls and the Empire Health Foundation, the Spokane Bicycle Advisory Board, and chairs Bike to Work Spokane.
